Message from the President

Dear Little Mountain Baseball Little League Families,

Welcome to another exciting season of Little League baseball at Little Mountain! It's truly an honor to see our community come together to celebrate the growth of our league and the incredible passion and dedication that fuels it. LMB is more than just a place to learn the fundamentals of the game—it's a place where lifelong friendships are formed, resilience is built, and confidence is created. Each player, coach, parent, and volunteer plays a vital role in fostering this positive, inclusive environment, and I couldn't be prouder of what we've accomplished together.

As our league continues to grow, so does our community. I am still learning more every year about the amazing history of our association and all of the people who have contributed to making it such a unique community. Please take a moment to read about some of these people like Ross Dower, Howie Matsumoto and Chris Havard.

This year, we have around 800 players from Blastball to Majors and our Challenger program. This season feels especially special - a time of fresh starts and renewed energy. Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, players, and supporters, most notably Jon Hooton, our Groundskeeper, we’ve seen remarkable progress in shaping up our fields for 2025. The Main Diamond looks fantastic, and the new soil, seed, and fence at Oak Park should make that field much more playable. Not to mention the refreshed batting cage with new turf and lights! Our facilities reflect the vibrant spirit of our league and will set the stage for memorable moments both on and off the field this season.

Please keep an eye on our socials for all the new things happening at LMB this season, including Bat-A-Thon, fun new uniforms (thanks to Tyler Redpath, our Equipment Manager), Opening and Closing day festivities, Challenger volunteering opportunities, and the continued expansion of our leading Girls in Baseball programming.

I hope you all share my excitement as we embark on this journey of teamwork, skill-building, and fun. Let’s cheer on our players, celebrate their achievements, and create lasting memories that we can carry beyond the season.

Here’s to a fantastic start to the season and a bright year ahead!

Warm regards,

Rob Mah Ming
President

Registration and Call for Volunteers

As part of the registration process, you will be asked to identify how you will volunteer this year. Every success this past season rested upon the efforts of volunteers. With the considerable growth in players last year and the resulting increased effort to offer a meaningful baseball experience for everyone, we did not have enough people raise their hands to volunteer and the efforts fell on the shoulders of a handful of people – to whom we are so grateful. This year we will need to share the load and are looking at ways for more families to volunteer based on their interests and availability. In the meantime, please take at look at our volunteer opportunities.
