About this division

For baseball 5 - 6 year olds (Little League Age Chart)

T-Ball is the first introduction for children to learn to play baseball. It is designed forbaseball 5-6 year olds.  Everyone bats every inning, but the ball is placed on a tee rather than pitched.  No score or standings are kept. Regular bats are used and bat safety is paramount.  Helmets are required for all players.

Player Commitment

1 practice ( 1 hour) and game (1 hour)  per week.  Games are mostly played on Saturdays but there could be a few Sunday games.  Start times will vary throughout the day.

Team rosters will normally consist of 8-10 players.  Players are permitted to request one friend.  The Division Coordinator will do their best to accommodate the request but are not guaranteed.  Friend requests are made at the time of registration.

Parent Commitment

T-Ball is NOT a drop-off activity. An adult must stay at the park for the duration of each game and practice session.  Parents will be placed on a rotational schedule to help with bench duties. Parents are also expected to volunteer for a League based role.

T-Ball Field Locations

Practices will be a 1 hour time slot held between 5:00 and 8:00 pm Monday to Friday at Riley Park T-Ball diamond (50 E 30th Avenue) or alternative field/park TBD.    Practice days/times are set by team coaches and division co-ordinators.  We cannot accept requests for a practice days or times from non-coaching parents.  

All games will be played at the Riley Park T-Ball diamond or alternate field/park TBD and can be scheduled anytime between 9am and 5pm.  Most games will be on Saturdays with the occasional Sunday (subject to permit availability).
