Coordinator

About this division

For baseball ages 6-7 year olds (Little League Age Chart)

Your baseball age 6-7 year old will be introduced to more basic concepts of baseball such as “outs” and will learn to hit the ball from a slow-pitching machine, using softer baseballs. A batting tee will be provided after a predetermined number of attempts to hit from the pitching machine.  All players are in the batting order and each team will hit through the order every inning.  No scores or standings are kept.

Player Commitment

Teams will have one practice (1 hour) and 1 game (approx 2 hour total time including warmup, field prep before and after the game).

Team rosters will normally consist of 12 players.  Players are permitted to request one friend, and the Division Coordinator will do their best to accommodate that request.  Friend requests are made at the time of registration.

Parent Commitment

Mini Minor is NOT a drop-off activity. An adult must stay at the park for the duration of each session. Parents will be placed on a rotational schedule to help with duties such as field prep (practices and games), keeping the players in line on the bench, snack duty and Riley Park concession duty. Parents are also expected to volunteer for a League based role.
